Season Summary

April's awakening as a vampire surprises both Stefan and Anita. While they try to help her come to terms with her new life, unexpected revelances begin tearing the team apart. But they will have to put their differences aside when a new threat shows up. As April and co investigates the kidnapping of Katherine's son Stefan Delaney, they also discover that Klaus's tribrid daughter Hayden Mikaelson is also kidnapped by the same person. Realizing something unholy is at play, it won't take long for the team to discover that the entire supernatural world is threatened by this new force. As the deadline is set for the next full moon, a race against time begins to rescue the kids and save the supernatural world from imminent extinction.
