Note: There is a time jump of five months between Episodes 4 and 5. "The Match" starts one month before the graduation.

Elena opened her eyes and listened to the house. It was quite as a tomb. She remained in the bed for a while. She didn't seem like wanting to get out of it. While looking at a random point, she flashed back to a moment with Jeremy.

Jeremy: "I don't want this!"

Elena: "I don't want it either."

Jeremy: "Then why are you sending me? Again!"

Elena: "Because I don't want to put you through me. Jeremy, you've already suffered enough."

Jeremy: "It was an accident, Elena."

Elena: "And you're here because of a miracle. How many more miracles can happen before we run out of luck? I can't risk it anymore."

Jeremy: "I'm human now. The ring will protect me."

Elena: "Unless it turns you into a homicidal psychopath."

Jeremy: "You know it was Esther. She's gone now. The ring is safe."

Elena: "Jeremy.."

Jeremy: "You didn't ask for this, Elena. But you don't have to deal with this alone."

Elena: "Jeremy, no."

Jeremy: "Let me be there for you."

Elena: "I don't wanna compel you Jeremy. But I will if I have to."

Jeremy: "Don't do this, Elena."

Elena: "I made up my mind. I can't get over this unless I know you're safe. And you're not safe with me."

In present time, Elena found herself looking into Jeremy's room and remained that way for a while. She was clearly missing him so much, but she knew she made the right choice by letting him go. After having a moment, she closed the door.

Cut to..
Elena went out of the house. She had dressed up, but she looked like the got prepared in a hurry. Bonnie was waiting for her in her car. Apparently she was going to take Elena to school. As soon as Elena got in, Bonnie looked at her weirdly. Elena noticed this and understood why.

Elena: "I prepared in a hurry."

Bonnie: "Hurry?" (meaning it's too good for "hurry")

Elena: "Vampire speed. One of the perks of being a vampire. You're never late."

Suddenly Elena caught a fly in the car so quick that Bonnie couldn't catch the move. But when the saw the fly between Elena's fingers, they smiled to each other.

Bonnie: "Show off!"

Upon this Elena smiled more, then Bonnie moved the car and Elena let the fly go out of the window.

When they entered the cafeteria, they saw Caroline alone at a table, working on a bunch of papers. They quickly went near her and sat.

Elena: (cheerfully) "Still working on the prom?"

Caroline: (looked at them as they sat, and spoke not so cheerfully) "Yeah."

Bonnie: "You need help?"

Caroline: "No, I want it to be perfect."

Elena: (jokingly) "Ouch!"

Caroline looked at her naughtily.

Caroline: (turned to normal) "I just.. We've been through too much. We lost people we loved. And we're graduating. I just want it to be a day that.. I want it to be worth it! I want it to worth all that pain, all that suffering. I want it to be a day that we will cherish forever!" (they looked at each other. Apparently both Elena and Bonnie were touched by this, and they were also smiling) "We deserve it."

Elena: "You're right. We do." (three girls smiled to each other. Then the bell rang and they got up along with everyone else) "Maybe Sue would help you."

They all scoffed as a reaction to this obvious joke.

Bonnie: "Sheriff's daughter? Give me a break!"

They were walking to the class.

Caroline: "So have you guys decided what you're gonna do after graduation?"

Elena: "I'm not even sure if I can graduate."

Caroline: "Nothing can prevent me from graduating, I'll compel every single person in this school if I have to."

Elena: "I call that determination!"

Bonnie: "I second that!"

Caroline: "Come on, at one point you must have thought of something."

Elena: "At one point, yeah. But it was before I became a vampire."

Bonnie: "And it was before I realized I'm a witch."

Caroline: "Okay I give up. I am going to choose your careers. You.." (turned to Elena) ".. are going to be a writer."

Elena: (surprised) "A writer?"

Caroline: "Of course. You write journals."

Elena: "Exactly. Journals. Not short stories to entertain people."

Caroline: "Yeah, but I bet it's awesome. I mean, isn't it about vampires, werewolves, and all that crazy stuff? Just change the names and publish it. People will think you have an amazing gift, and you're gonna be famous, just like Ann Rice, or L.J. Smith." (Elena looked away with deep thoughts. Apparently she liked the idea) "Trust me, it's gonna be awesome."

Bonnie: "Well what about me?"

Caroline: "You are gonna be a superhero."

Bonnie: "A what?"

Caroline: "If I had your powers that'd definitely be the thing I'd do."

Bonnie: "But what am I gonna do for living?"

Caroline: "You're gonna charge the people you help."

Elena: "Then wouldn't she be a mercenary?"

Caroline: (shrugged simply) "Girl's gotta eat."

Elena: (jokingly) "Okay, Miss Career, what are you gonna do?"

Caroline: "I am going to be a parapsychologist."

Bonnie: (confused) "A what?"

Caroline: (turned to Elena) "I heard after your mom died there was an opening in the department at Duke University. I think I'll fit quite right in."

Elena: "You've got to be joking."

Caroline: "I've got the experience, I've got the knowledge. I don't think they'll find someone better than me."

Bonnie: "I am officially speechless."

Caroline: "Why, what's wrong?"

Elena: "Nothing, you just designed careers of all three of us in less than one minute."

Caroline: (with a jokingly pride) "What are friends for?"

Then they entered the class and shortly after they sat to their seats, teacher walked in. As the indistinct chatter continued in the class, teacher started preparing. Then he started to try and silence the class. But before he could start, the door is knocked. All eyes randomly turned to the door. Then it opened and a boy entered.

Boy: "I'm sorry, is this trigonometry?"

Teacher: "Yes."

Upon this he walked in and gave the teacher a paper.

Boy: "I'm sorry for being late. I'm new in town, it was hard to find here."

Teacher looked at the paper and looked at him again.

Teacher: "Alright. Welcome to Mystic Falls." (turned to the class) "Class, this is Antonio Wilder. He's new in town, so be sure to make him feel welcome." (to Antonio) "Go on, take a seat."

Antonio: (nodded humbly) "Thank you, sir."

Then walked to a seat which he saw was empty. As he passed by Caroline, Bonnie and Elena, they made a face to each other indicating they liked him very much. Then teacher started his lesson, so they all turned to him.

A girl walked into the grill. It was afternoon. After she looked around for a while, she saw Matt and walked near him happily. Matt didn't notice her. She stood somewhere close to him and started watching Matt clean a table. As soon as he's done with the table, he raised his head and saw her. He smiled happily.

Matt: "Sue, hey!"

Sue: (with a big smile) "Hi."

Matt: "What're you doing here?"

Sue: "Just visiting you at work. Am I not allowed?"

Matt: "No, of course. It's just.."

Sue: "What?"

Matt: "I'm worried."

Sue: "Worried?"

Matt: "Boss."

Sue: "Sam?"

Matt: "Sam, my boss, my employer, owner of the grill, and the man who has the authority to fire me, so.."

Sue: "Well, you can tell him to suck it."

Matt: "That'd be the second I'd be fired."

Sue: (naughtily) "Then you can tell him that I told him to suck it." (upon this Matt smiled and his smile made Sue smile) "I see my boyfriend whenever I want to. Some lame ass grill boss is not gonna stop sheriff's daughter."

Matt: "I like that you give me that confidence."

Sue: "What can I say, it's one of my traits!" (they found each other looking at each other's lips) "So.., are you up for tonight?"

Matt: (nodded naughtily) "Big time. I've been preparing for days. I've got some moves you've never seen."

Sue: "Hmm, I'm psyched!"

Matt: "Well, you'd better be."

Sue: "Then I expect your highest performance and nothing less."

Matt: "You got it." (suddenly he looked at elsewhere) "You know, if someone would overhear us, they could totally get the wrong idea!"

Sue: "Isn't that the whole point?" (Matt suddenly felt like he got blushed and moved with confusion and excitement. Sue caught it and smiled cheerfully) "I'll see you tonight."

Then she turned around and walked out of grill. Matt looked behind her for a while. After she's gone, he heard someone coughing. He turned to see his boss signing him to get back to his work. He nodded barely and got back to tables.

Stefan heard footsteps in his room. He spoke without opening his eyes.

Stefan: "Get out of here, Damon." (Damon didn't say anything, and he went straight ahead to open the curtains. The daylight hit Stefan directly, forcing him to wake up. "What time is it?"

Damon: "Eight, eleven, 3 pm.. Does it really matter?"

Stefan: (removed the blanket and got up) "No, I don't suppose it does."

Damon: "Then why do you ask?"

Stefan: "I don't know, Damon. I just woke up, and I guess it was the first thing that came to my mind when I got sunshine hitting my eyes."

Damon: (faked a smile, then got serious again) "It's four. pm, in case you're still confused."

Stefan: "I guess I missed the class again."

Damon: "Yes. Stress on the again. One of these days you're gonna put me in a fierce situation with the school principle."

Stefan: "Well, we certainly don't want that."

Damon: "Exactly my point."

Stefan: (turned to him) "Is there any particular reason we're having this conversation right now?"

Damon: "Yes. Now I need you to wash your face, drink your blood and come back here, because we need to talk some serious stuff."

Stefan: "Serious and you doesn't go well in the same sentence Damon." (then looked and saw that Damon was really serious. So he got serious too and turned to him) "What is it about?"

Damon: "I've been thinking about it for a while. Considering some facts. What with me being banished from the council and you've been avoiding Elena. There's no reason for us to stay. And I think maybe it's time for us to move on."

Stefan: "Move on?"

Damon: "You know, get out of town, leave it behind, start a life someplace else."

Stefan: "You know I can't do that, Damon."

Damon: "And why is that?"

Stefan: "There's a reason I stayed here."

Damon: "Which is?"

Stefan: "I just need to make sure that everything is alright."

Damon: "Everything is alright, Stefan."

Stefan: "We don't know that."

Damon: "Okay maybe we don't. But tell me, how exactly can we help them? We've got nothing to offer. Elena is, for some reason, stronger than both of us. She has her sidekick blondie. And she also has one of the most powerful witches in the history of time on her side. Even the originals have moved on, Stefan. There's no haunting ghosts, Esther is gone, no psychotic murderers, Elena learned to control herself. All is well in Mystic Falls."

Stefan: (jokingly) "Except for you."

Damon: "Obviously, I wanna leave. But I've got no one else in my life. So whether I'm staying or leaving, it has to be with you. I just don't see a future for us in Mystic Falls." (Stefan fixed his looks to a random point, apparently finding Damon quite right) "So.. What do you say, brother?"

Stefan looked at him. He was in deep thoughts.

Elena, Caroline and Bonnie were at a table in the grill, talking and drinking. A while later Matt walked out of the staff room. He was in his regular clothes. He went straight near the girls.

Matt: "Hey!"

Bonnie: "There you are!"

Matt: "Yeah, my shift is over."

Caroline: "So where to now? The match or the house?"

Matt: "I'd better head to the game. I already missed the last practice, and as team captain I should at least be there early."

Elena: "Yeah you should."

Matt: (sat near them) "So are you guys coming?"

Caroline: "Of course!"

Bonnie: "I'd never miss it in the world!"

Matt: "Elena?"

Elena: "I don't know, I think I'm gonna skip this one."

Caroline: "But why?"

Elena: "I know I progressed a lot on the self control department, and... Let's just say I'd rather not test it with a high casualty risk."

Matt: "I hear ya."

Bonnie: "You know I could always stop you."

Elena: "Yeah, I'd rather not have migranes either."

They smiled to each other.

Caroline: "Or I could kick your ass and stop you."

Elena: "You wish! I'm way stronger than you" (looked away to a random point) "I'm even stronger than Damon." (to Bonnie) "How's that even possible?"

Bonnie: "I don't know."

Caroline: "Maybe it's a doppelganger thing. I mean.." (to Bonnie) ".. you once said you couldn't stop Katherine." (to everyone) "If it works that way, then she must be something like.."

Bonnie: "An original?"

Caroline: "More or less."

Matt: (to Elena) "You're still not missing it. I'll have someone to record it and you'll watch it at home."

Bonnie: "I think he means unless they lose."

Matt: (with an absolute certainty) "We won't."

Bonnie: (surprised by such self confidence) "And how do you know that?"

Matt: (looked at Bonnie naughtily) "I don't know, you tell. You're the one who has mystical powers."

They all smiled upon this. Suddenly the grill's door opened and three deputies walked inside. The atmosphere got tensed all of a sudden, and the deputies walked straight near Elena and others as everyone else watched them. The gang noticed the deputies, then got quiet and waited for them. Soon they arrived.

Deputy 1: "We're looking for Miss Gilbert."

Elena: (with hesitation) "It's.. me."

Deputy 1: "Miss Gilbert, you're gonna come with us."

The others stood up quickly in a defensive manner.

Caroline: "What's going on?"

Deputy 1: "Sheriff wants to talk to her."

Matt: "What about?"

Deputy 2: "I don't think it's your concern."

Elena: (looked at her friends) "It's okay, guys."

Caroline: (dangerously) "You sure?"

Elena: (nodded reassuringly) "Yeah." (to deputies) "I hope this won't take long."

Deputy 3: "I don't imagine it will."

Deputy 1: "Come with us."

Upon this they headed out of the grill. Elena felt rather uncomfortable when everyone in the grill watched her as if she was a criminal. Soon they got out. Caroline, Bonnie and Matt were very confused.

Elena got closer to sheriff's office. From what she could see, there was a young girl in the room other than the sheriff, and she was not older than 13. Elena knocked the door and opened it. Sheriff looked at her.

Elena: "Can I come in?"

Sheriff: "Yes, Elena. Come in, have a seat." (Elena closed the door and sat down to a chair in front of sheriff's table) "I'm sorry if the way they brought you here made you a bit uncomfortable."

Elena: (slightly angrily) "It's alright. I'll probably never be able to walk into the grill without people looking at me like I'm a criminal, but.. it's alright." (noticed that sheriff is perfectly okay with that. upon this she looked at the girl quickly and looked back at the sheriff) "You wanted to talk to me about..?"

Sheriff: "You know that Isobel Flemming was your birth mother, right?" (Elena looked surprised upon this. She apparently thought this was not known. Sheriff understood it) "Mr. Saltzman had shared the information with us so that he can be your legal guardian. He was your step father, is that true?"

Elena: (her confusion was over) "Yeah, that's true. Isobel was my mother and Mr. Saltzman was.. well, I never thought of it that way, but, yeah, he was my step father. Is there a problem, sheriff?"

Sheriff: (showed the girl with his head) "This is June. June Flemming."

Elena: (Elena quickly looked at the girl in shock as soon as she heard the surname, and then quickly turned to the sheriff) "F.. Flemming? Is.. is she..?"

Sheriff: "No. No, she's not your sister. She's your cousin." (Elena looked confused) "Isobel had a brother. This, is his daughter. Her parents had an accident 2 days ago. No one survived." (Elena's confusion was over, but now it was replaced with a different kind of confusion) I wasn't going to let her be delivered to you, but I didn't have any say in the matter, because, well, you are her only relative over 18; and in fact, you're her only relative left."

Elena: "Well, what about her grandparents?"

Sheriff: "I checked them too. Her grandmother died last year. And three months ago her grandfather. She.. has no one." (Elena suddenly felt the responsibility of a 13 years old kid) "You know you don't have to do this. If you say you can't take care of her she'll be delivered to an orphanage and..."

Elena: "No!" (she and sheriff looked at each other in silence) "I'll take her."

Sheriff: (after a brief silence) "You know by doing that you'll be her legal guardian, which means you'll be taking her full responsibility. If anything happens to her, and I mean anything.." (tapped his canine twice while hiding it from June, clearly referring to Elena's vampirism) ".. you'll be responsible for that."

Elena: (understood) "I know that."

Sheriff: (more seriously) "You sure you wanna do this?"

Elena: (looked at June. She was also looking at her, apparently waiting to hear her decision. Seeing her like that, even though she was hesitating, made Elena make up her mind) "She is my family. I can't abandon her."

Sheriff: (nodded) "I'm gonna need you sign these."

He took out some papers and gave them to Elena, while showing her where she needs to sign. Soon Elena finished everything, then she came near June.

Elena: (with a comforting smile) "Ready to go home?" (June didn't say anything, but she reached to her bag. Elena acted quicker) "Here, let me." (June didn't object, and Elena got June's bag. On their way out, she looked at sheriff Carson) "Um.."

Sheriff: (clearly understood what she was going to say) "I'll call a cab. It'll be there before you get out."

Elena: (smiled barely) "Thanks."

Then they got out of the office and walked through the corridor. Sheriff looked behind them quite interested and curious. Meanwhile as Elena and June kept walking, Elena felt and acknowledged more and more that now her life will completely change, because now things will be a lot harder for her because of her newest responsibility.

Gilbert house door opened and June and Elena walked in. June looked around with a clearly rather weak effort to learn what is what. Elena noticed this, and closed the door.

Elena: "Bedrooms are upstairs. Or if you want.."

Before she completed her sentence, June started walking upstairs. Elena looked at her curiously, then followed. When they got there, Elena took her to her parents' room. As Elena stayed outside, June took a few steps in, then stood and started looking around. The curtains were closed, and the dust on the dresser and other furnitures kind of indicated that the room hasn't been used for a long while.

June: (without looking at Elena) "This is your parents' room?"

Elena: (surprised) "How do you figure?"

June: (turned to Elena showing a picture or them) "It's them, right?"

Elena: (remained silent for a while) "Yeah."

June: "What happened?"

Elena: "Car accident. On the Wickery Bridge. It was three years ago. Dad was driving and.. I was sleeping at the back. I don't know what happened, we found ourselves underwater. Only I made it out."

June looked at her. As much as it hurt, they were sharing the same pain. So she kind of felt warmer towards her.

June: "Is there another room? I get jitters in a dead person's room."

Elena: "We have my aunt's room, but she also.." (didn't complete the sentence and quickly looked at June) "And there's my brother's room. There's a lot of work to do if you want it, but.. if it makes you comfortable.."

They went there and June walked in. There was some stuff and posters hung on the wall. The computer was covered with a sheet. The bed and and the room was rather untidy.

June: (after looking around for a while) "Where is he?"

Elena: "Denver."

June: "And he won't come back?"

Elena: "I don't think so."

June: "Why not?"

Elena: (didn't know how to answer at first) "I.. I don't know. Maybe.. I guess.. because he's built himself a life there. And.. he's been through a lot. So.. I kinda wanted him to go."

June: (looked at her) "You made him go away?"

Elena: "It's not that simple."

June: (while turning back to the room) "Nothing ever is."

Elena: (took a few steps towards her) "This is definitely a boy's room. But I think we can do something about it."

June: (hesitantly) "Can you.. leave me alone for a while?"

Elena: (looked at her weirdly. Apparently she found the request a bit odd) "You sure?"

June: "I just wanna unpack my stuff. Get settled."

Elena: "Of course." (looked around quickly) "Just.. push everything you don't want under the bed. We'll deal with it later. You hungry?"

June: "A little."

Elena: "Then I'll go make us some dinner. Come downstairs when you're done?" (June nodded) "Alright." (June looked at her bag with rather unwillingness. Elena noticed this) "Hey.." (June looked at her) "I know it doesn't feel like it. But it is gonna get better. I mean, not.. not better, just easier. I mean.. You get better at living. .. I'm not helping at all, am I?" (June half opened her mouth as if she wanted to say something, but words didn't get out. She let go of the breath) "I just.. I want you to know, I'm here for you. If you wanna talk about anything." (held June's shoulder with compassion) "We'll get through this together."

However, almost instantaneous with Elena's touch, June freaked out. She started hearing weird - almost electrical and mystic - noises, mixed with people screaming in pain and terror. With sharp moves, she first looked at the hand touching her shoulder, then at Elena. Feeling something was wrong, Elena took her hand back immediately. But June wasn't any less scared. She was looking at Elena with great fear. Elena didn't seem to understand what her reaction was about. She apparently didn't feel anything June felt. But to give June some space, she walked backwards.

Elena: "I'll.. go."

Then feeling rather uncomfortable under June's scared looks, she turned around and left the room.

Later that night, when it was close to the match starting, people have gathered and cheering outside the field. Sue was among the cheerleaders, and seemed to be like their leader.

Stefan walked into the dressing room and opened his locker. After he took off his shirt, Matt came near him.

Matt: "I was trying to reach you, your phone's off."

Stefan: (while wearing his gears) "Yeah, sorry about that. Battery died, and Damon has my charging device."

Matt: "You know, it's funny that you live in a freakin' mansion but cannot have a separate charging device."

Stefan: (looked at him with a reassuring smile) "Won't happen again. Sorry."

Matt: "Look, all I'm saying is, I need you. But you skipped this weeks all practices and the coach has cut you. You're a substitute, Stefan."

Stefan: "That might work out just fine. Unleashing me on a tired team, you know."

Matt: "That is if I can convince the coach to put you in the field."

Then the coach entered the room.

Coach: "Okay team.. Stefan! What are you doing here?"

Stefan: "Okay, I think I deserve that question."

Coach: "Well, you've been gone for two weeks, I though you weren't coming back."

Stefan: "Sorry coach. I had some personal stuff to deal with."

Coach: "Well, now that you're here.. How do you feel?"

Stefan: "Like a cheetah!"

They all laughed briefly to the joke. Matt barely smiled though. Then coach started telling the tactics, something about their key player and their possible tactics and how to stop them. Apparently the opponent was a tough one and the coach had worked a lot on them. After he's done, players closed their lockers and started going to the field. Matt and Stefan followed, but stayed behind.

Stefan: "You seem all wired. Not our usual team captain."

Matt: "It's just.. I can't lose this match."

Stefan: "That's an odd choice of words."

Matt: "Sue and I had a deal."

Stefan: "Ah, I get it."

Matt: "That's why I need you on the field, Stefan. I can't leave anything to chance."

Stefan: "You want me to compel the coach?"

Matt: "Last resort?"

Stefan: "You got it."

Caroline and Bonnie were together outside the field, waiting to find a seat.

Caroline: "I wonder if Elena is going to miss anything worthy."

Bonnie: "A part of me is glad she's not here."

Caroline looked at her weirdly. Bonnie was looking (in a showing manner) at someone. When Caroline looked, she saw that it was Antonio. He too was among the crowd waiting for his turn. Girls looked at each other naughtily, then went near him. He apparently wasn't expecting anyone, but as soon as he saw them, he smiled.

Antonio: "I know you! From the class."

Caroline: "Yeah. We were just.. over there, and we saw you.. alone. Thought you could use some company."

Antonio: "Thank you! I feel really weird being alone in a crowd. If that makes any sense."

Caroline: "Oh, yeah."

Bonnie: "So you're here to see our team?"

Antonio: "I was told that it was good way of socializing."

Caroline: (with a little bit of sarcasm) "Well, it's a choice."

Antonio: "There are choices(?)."

Bonnie: "We prefer grill."

Antonio: "Isn't that a bar?"

Bonnie: "Well, yeah, but it's more like a cafe-bar. They serve other kinds of drinks too, you know?. Like.."

Caroline: "Coffee, tea, milk.."

Bonnie: "Look at you go, listing all the choices. As if you ever drink any of it."

Caroline: "Hey, what good is being sheriff's daughter if you don't get to abuse the title every now and then?"

Bonnie: "Every now and then?"

Caroline: "Well, you know.."

Bonnie: "It's ex-sheriff and you know you were meant to set an example with that title."

Caroline: "Bonnie, there are two types of people in this world."

Bonnie: (cheerfully) "Here we go."

Antonio couldn't help but laugh over their friendly banter, to which Caroline and Bonnie joined too.

Antonio: "It just didn't seem like that kind of a place, you know, from the outside."

Caroline: "So you've been there?"

Antonio: "It's hard to miss. This is a small town."

Caroline: "Well, you should totally stop by sometime."

Antonio: "Will do. Name's Antonio by the way."

Caroline: "Caroline."

Bonnie: "Bonnie."

Antonio: (cheerfully) "My mother's name was Bonnie!"

Bonnie: (surprised, happily) "Really!?"

Antonio: "Yeah!"

Caroline: "Um, was?"

Antonio: "Yeah, uh. She passed away when I was thirteen."

Bonnie: "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!"

Antonio: "No! No, it's okay. I like Bonnie. It's a pretty name."

Bonnie: "So why'd you move to Mystic Falls?"

Antonio: "Well, you heard ab.."

Before he could complete the sentence, Caroline poked Bonnie. When she looked at her, Antonio stopped telling. Caroline pointed Bonnie her bag.

Caroline: "Your phone's ringing."

Upon this Bonnie raised her bag to see if she's right. When she indeed heard her phone, she took it out and saw that it was Elena calling. She looked at Antonio.

Bonnie: "I'm sorry, I have to.."

Antonio nodded reassuringly. Bonnie smiled and tried to leave the crowd. After she went, Antonio got a little closer to Caroline.

Antonio: "Nice ears."

Caroline: (weirded out) "What?"

Antonio: "I mean you hear good."

Caroline: (smiled barely, understanding what he means) "Oh."

Antonio: "I don't have ear fetish."

Caroline: (embarrassed) "Please, I.. I didn't think that!"

Antonio: "I'd understand if you did. You never know what to expect from a guy. There is a lot of weird guys out there. And that coming from a guy means something."

Caroline: "Well you said it yourself, this is a small town. We don't have a lot of weird going on." (suddenly paused and looked away. Clearly she couldn't believe what she just said) "Did I say that?"

Antonio smiled. Upon his smile, Caroline smiled too. Meanwhile Bonnie was getting away from the crowd and intense noise. The phone was still ringing. She answered without losing anymore time.

Bonnie: "Elena, hey. .. Wait, I don't understand. .. Elena, what're you..? .. What?? .. What!??"

Then her looks changed. She looked shocked.

She arrived in Elena's house in no time and got out of the car. Elena ran to her in tears. She was freaking out.

Elena: "Oh my god, Bonnie, I can't find her!"

Bonnie: "Find who?"

They started walking towards the house.

Elena: "June."

Bonnie: "Who is June?"

Elena: "My cousin."

Bonnie: "I didn't know you had a cousin."

Elena: "Me neither, Bonnie please, she's out there somewhere!"

Bonnie: "Don't worry, we'll find her."

Elena: "She's just thirteen, oh my god, anything could happen!"

Bonnie: "I'll find her, just get me something of hers."

They arrived to the house and started going upstairs.

Elena: "I left her to unpack her things, but she didn't come downstairs for dinner, and I got worried. When I opened the door she was gone. She was gone!"

They headed to Jeremy's room.

Bonnie: "You gave her Jeremy's room?"

They entered and Elena quickly brought June's bag. Apparently she only opened it to get something, and left the rest just like that.

Elena: "She wanted here and he's not coming back, so I figured why not."

Bonnie looked at Elena. She was heartbroken that Elena would give Jeremy's room to someone else. Then she started looking for something specific in the bag. She eventually found a colorful bracelet, with cubes on it that wrote "JUNE". It looked some sort of present.

Bonnie: "This will do."

Elena: "You sure? No pinch of hair, no blood?"

Bonnie: "No, I wanna try something else. This spell I got from Martins' grimores." (she took a knife out of her bag, grabbed Elena's hand and cut it. Then she gave the bracelet to her bloody hand) "Hold this." (then she grabbed the uncut hand) "Now, picture her in your mind. When you do, my spell will show you where she is. Ready?"

Elena nodded nervously. Upon this Bonnie closed her eyes and started chanting. A little while later Elena opened her eyes and looked at Bonnie with amazement.

Elena: "I know where she is!"

The match had already started, and the team didn't look so good. The visitor team was literally dominant on the field, and also inevitably on the scoreboard. Cheerleaders had stopped cheering, and the reactions from the spectators were also horrifyingly discouraging. Everything was looking bad. Matt was constantly signing coach to get Stefan into the game.

June was sitting alone in a seat. Suddenly the guys near her started talking.

Guy 1: "This is just sad."

Guy 2: "Come on, only ten minutes left."

Guy 1: "You know what I can do in ten minutes? Go to a PlayStation cafe, where I can have actual fun. You in?"

Guy 2: (looked at the field. Neither the score nor the play was promising) "It's not like we paid for the seats."

Both got up.

Guy 1: "Let's get out of here."

They left quickly. As they were leaving, someone was getting closer to June. It was Elena. She finally came near her and spoke gently.

Elena: "Is this seat taken?"

June clearly wasn't expecting her, and she freaked out. Then quickly started looking around anxiously. She didn't know what to do, but somehow the crowd was making her a bit comfortable. She didn't run. Elena eventually sat near her and looked at the field. They remained silent for a while.

June: (hesitantly, without looking at Elena) "How did you find me?"

Elena: "Let's just say I know a person who can.. find people."

June: "You mean you know a witch." (Elena looked surprised. She clearly wasn't expecting that June would know about the supernatural world. But before she could make a word, June silently continued) "I know what you are."

Elena: (felt a bit uncomfortable, but tried not to let on) "How do you know that?"

June: "Are you going to hurt me?"

Elena: "What? No! June, I would never do that!"

June: "But it is in your nature. You can't help it!"

Elena: "At first, I couldn't. But now, I learned to control my instincts. I learned it the hard way, and to be honest that's the reason I sent my brother away." (June looked at her) "But I would never lay a hand on you, June. I promise!"

June: "Will you give me your hand?" (Elena was surprised by the request, but eventually she gave her hand. June held it with her two hands and closed her eyes. She was feeling some vibrations going through her body, but Elena wasn't feeling anything. After a couple of seconds, June left Elena's hand) "You're new. It's been a couple of months."

Elena: (amazed) "That's true!"

June: "Your emotions are messed up. But your heart is pure. I know you're telling me the truth." (Looks at Elena) "We can go home now."

Elena: (relieved that she gained June trust, smiled with relief. Then she randomly looked at the field, and saw that Stefan was being taken into the game. Suddenly a weird smile came to her face) "Well we could. But why don't we just stay, celebrate the victory and then go home?"

June: "Victory? I don't even know how they scored that one, you're talking about.." (didn't complete her sentence when she noticed the naughty look on Elena's face. She quickly looked at the field) "How do you know they're gonna win?"

Elena: (smiled mischievously) "I don't know, you tell. You're the one who has mystical powers!"

June couldn't help smiling upon this, and seeing her smiling made Elena smile. Elena was very happy that she gained her trust somehow. And finally, thanks to Stefan, Timberwolves started making scores. As the team literally became fully dominant on the field, spectators and cheerleaders started cheering happily and encouragingly. It was like the roles were reversed, and the scoreboard was becoming more and more hopeful. Joy and excitement took place. And in the final seconds, Stefan threw an insane pass, which left literally no work for Matt to score the point that won the game. As soon as the clock his zero, the crowd became insanely happy and cheerful. Sue ran near Matt. They smiled and then kissed each other. Elena laughed upon this, and June understood that they are friends.

The crowd start cheering "Tim-ber-wolves! Tim-ber-wolves! Tim-ber-wolves!" Then everyone around started joining. The team, cheerleaders, June and Elena; they were all yelling "Tim-ber-wolves!" cheerfully. Eventually people started leaving to go home.

When they arrived home, Elena talked to June.

Elena: "You still hungry?"

June: "Understatement!"

Elena: "Well, I burned the food with you all skedaddling and all. But I'm aware of the extreme circumstances, so.. Pizza?"

June smiled. It was a clear agreeing.

Meanwhile Matt and Sue arrived Matt's place and they started making out. While taking off each other's clothes, they were also walking around the house randomly. It was like both were waiting for this day for a very long time.

Stefan also returned to home. Damon congratulated him for the victory with a drink, and they started talking indistinctly while sitting before the fireplace.

June and Elena were upstairs and headed their rooms.

June: "Good night Elena."

Elena: "Good night June." (but before she entered, she suddenly stopped. There was a curious look on her face) "June?"

June: (turned to Elena) "Yes?"

Elena: (got closer while trying not so say something wrong) "Today you knew that I was a vampire, and that I have a witch friend. How do you know so much?"

June: (looked as if she knew this was coming, but she never prepared for this. Finally she talked) "Because I'm not human, Elena!"

Elena: (didn't know what to think about this. Eventually she said the first thing she could think of) "What are you?"
